Have enjoyed staying on a previous occasion.
Got the chance to come back again.
Thoroughly enjoyed it all over again: timber floors, hand crafted furniture, breakfast on the verandah, all the elements of a lovely chance to r-e-l-a-x. The complimentary port was the finishing touch!
Scott and Lilliana March 2018
We all lead such busy lives and the chance to disregard the time, sleep when you want, talk and read and laze about with a bottle of wine and a good read.
A Queenslander verandah with a view to green hills and fat cattle grazing, the occasional birdsong and perfume from the lush garden … just the ingredients for a salve for the soul.
Thanks Mary and Terry.
Deon and Gabrielle January 2018 North Burnett.
Busy, busy, self-employed, needed a break but not too far.
This ticked all the boxes!
Thanks, Mary and Terry. Ahhhhh… ready to face another week.

The prospect of an occasional shower didn’t dampen the spirits of these ‘good wine and food’ devotees @ Saturday’s SOUTH BURNETT WINE & FOOD IN THE PARK. Some snappy dressing, megawatt smiles and the chance to get-together…. all good reasons to say SALUTÈ, PROST, CHEERS with a flute of HILL OF PROMISE 3 MARYS SPARKLING SEMILLON.
It’s March and that means the SOUTH BURNETT WINE & FOOD IN THE PARK is on again this coming SATURDAY 10TH MARCH 2018.
TERRANZO and THE LITTLE CELLAR RAT are heading down there with our delicious, preservative free and Vegan Friendly wines and fortifieds to join with the SOUTH BURNETT WINE COUSINS to celebrate all that is fantabulous about this rich and diverse region.
Action kicks off at NOON @ MEMORIAL PARK KINGAROY and ‘THAT’S ALL FOLKS!’ sing goes up at 8pm.
Check it out on FACEBOOK. Look out for HILL OF PROMISE WINES in the NAVY BLUE MARQUEE, with PIPING HOT PIZZAS NEXT DOOR.
The welcome rain has filled the tanks, swelled the dams and waved a magic green wand over the district (which by the way looks nothing short of magnificent!) Don’t let the rain and showers put you off coming. The foodies mags such as DELICIOUS AND ITALIANICIOUS will keep you fully occupied inside if a ‘stay-in-your-cave’ day is on the agenda.
The media this week highlighted concerns by VEGANS about the use of fish, egg and milk products in the wine-making process. Yes, all have been and still are used to clarify wine…..HOWEVER….. We @ HILL OF PROMISE WINERY use NONE OF THESE in the filtering of our wines. Instead, we use FILTER PAPER AND LOTS OF IT. So VEGETARIANS AND VEGANS can ENJOY our wines, not only for the AMAZING FLAVOUR but also CONFIDENT and with PEACE OF MIND knowing that none of these is used as part of our wine-making process.
Don’t let the heat make ‘what’s for dinner?’ stress you out…. make salads with a difference your ‘go-to’. Just a basic Garden Salad can be lifted with left-over roast sweet potato and carrot strips, capers (always guaranteed to make salads pop) a handful of feta and sprinkle of dukkah. buon appetito!
That’s right she’s back!! NANNA GELSO that is.… our delicious sweet red blend of Cabernet, Shiraz and Merlot. The 2016 version is a cheeky little number with ripe raspberry notes. Oh-so-delicious with summer barbecued meats, a mediterranean platter or whatever imaginative summer dishes you can come up with. Don’t forget that Mango Salsa makes a yummy side-salad for chargrilled red meats and chicken. Selling now from the Cellar Door or by mail order.

We loved the warm ambience that timber creates.
First time I stayed I was on my own but had to bring my partner back to share the experience with me. Tess Sept 2017
