We’ve made CAVALLUCCI di SIENA (‘little horses’) delicious spiced and fruited rustic biscuits, a Christmas treat with a glass of vin santo. They take us straight back to Northern Italy!

We needed a little break away from two busy jobs and this was just perfect.Timber furniture with a lamp or two on sets a very calming scene ….. cares and worries just melt away.
Mary was only too willing to share that Breakfast prunes recipe! Can definitely recommend this little country gem. Lee and Kay Mary Valley December 2018
We’ve just spent a few days in this dear little cottage. It’s well -equipped with whatever you need for a short break and if it’s not there, you only have to ask! the ambience from the front verandah is calming and relaxing. Not our first stay and definitely not our last. Thanks again, Mary and Terry from two very satisfied guests. ES Fraser Coast April 2018
A quick stopover to break a long journey was not long enough to enjoy all on offer at Mango Hill B&B. A delicious breakfast eaten on the verandah in the sun – definitely a highlight.
Beautiful garden setting and helpful hosts at hand made this the perfect home away from home. Jayne L N Qld. June 2018
Very nicely decorated cottages in Childers. Beautiful view.
The owners were very helpful with wine tasting and info on the winery.
Stay more that one night so you will have time for a wine tasting!
Childers is a lovely collage of old buildings.

Summer and salads are just made for each other and the magic in lifting your Greek or Garden Salad lies in the dressing.
Flicking through the first publication by Maria Anello – NEW FARM DELI – gave me the inspiration for this one: EV olive oil, apple cider vinegar, mustard, lemon thyme. It’s just darn delicious.
We’re proud of our 3 MARYS sparkling, made using ‘methodé champenoise’. Yes, it involves two stages and patience and a lot of handling but the end product is definitely worth it. Our latest is a sparkling white muscat, as was our very first (and it picked up SILVER at the Qld Wine Awards.) Terranzo the Winemaker is proud of each new vintage and never ceases to be amazed at the magic that takes place, quietly, in each bottle.
One of the rewards of having an extensive garden with a range of trees and shrubbery is the birds who visit or who decide to take up permanent residence. This Rufous Whistler has the most delightful repertoire which he offers freely to anyone who cares to acknowledge his presence.
Just have a look at these local capsicum and eggplant from ALLOWAYFARM.
What do you do?
Wash, slice, toss in a little EVOO and roast, turning occasionally.
It’s as easy as that.
