SEMILLON, one of Bordeaux’s great  white wines, has perfumes ranging from fruity through to floral, even with some earthiness and herbal notes. Tastes also range from honey through to peaches and apricots.  It stands out almost as an exception amongst the whites which generally are best enjoyed young, as SEMILLON ages well.  Of course it is the base grape for that famous sweet white SAUTERNES.

The name of the grape almost certainly comes from the name of the town of Saint Emilion.

HILL OF PROMISE SEMILLON 2017 pairs beautifully with any seafood, chicken and soft cheese.
